History

The McGarrh Family started in trucking in 1950 when Douglas McGarrh started with Ellis Trucking.  After serving in the trucking industry for 38 years, Douglas and his two sons, Barry and Cary McGarrh, launched McGarrh Trucking, Inc. dba Henderson Express in 1988.  Henderson Express started with four trucks and trailers and grew to 40 tractors in ten years. Douglas McGarrh retired in 2006 and the next generation in trucking began when Barry and Cary formed
B & C Transport Enterprises, LLC.

B & C operates under the business name “Bluegrass Transport & Expeditors” out of Henderson, KY.  Bluegrass Transport & Expeditors currently has 26 tractors and 37 trailers operating in the Midwest region between Michigan and Texas. The company is expecting a continued growth of 1-2 trucks per month within the next two years.
